How I Work

Therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship—one where you feel understood, appropriately challenged, and not alone with what you’re carrying. My foundation is relational psychodynamic therapy (we focus on the patterns underneath the problem), integrated with:

  • Attachment work (how closeness and trust operate)

  • Internal Family Systems / parts work (understanding different sides of you so you’re not at war with yourself)

  • Somatic approaches (what your body signals under stress)

  • Trauma-informed care (working within your “window of tolerance” so you’re not overwhelmed)

  • CBT/mindfulness tools (practical skills for anxiety and daily functioning)

In practice, we might explore how formative experiences shape current patterns, work with parts of you that pull in different directions, track what your nervous system does under stress, or build concrete tools for managing anxiety in real time—whatever is most useful.

I’m integrative, but not vague: we use what works, and we stay oriented toward change you can feel in your real life.

My Style

Warm, responsive, collaborative, and direct. Sessions are tailored to you—not a predetermined protocol. We stay oriented toward what's actually happening in your life, so therapy is both deep and useful.

What Makes This Different

Meaningful change doesn't come from trying to "fix" yourself. It comes from understanding what shapes you, building a more honest relationship with yourself, and developing better options when you're under stress.

I don't shrink back when things get uncomfortable. Real relief comes from working with difficult emotions, not bypassing them. We'll make room for anxiety, frustration, grief, longing, confusion—and build genuine capacity, clarity, and choice. Over time, people notice they're less driven by old patterns and more able to act from what they actually want and value.

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar. I respect what it takes to stay in the process long enough for something new to take hold. The payoff can be significant: more clarity, more freedom from old patterns, and a different way of relating to yourself and the people you care about—the kind of changes that holds up when life gets hard.

Commitment to Inclusive Therapy

I'm committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive therapy. I've engaged in ongoing trainings for over a decade around diversity, anti-racism, and working across differences with humility and care. I bring a steady, grounded presence to conversations about identity, race, sexuality, power, and social context—and I'm willing to go there directly without minimizing or over-intellectualizing what's real.

Practical Details

I currently offer online therapy throughout California. I'm an out-of-network provider and don't accept insurance; however, I can provide superbills for potential reimbursement. I'm happy to discuss fees during our initial consultation.
